The guitarist doesnt play it live i dont think ive serched for it loads on you tube but 
think either its played on there keybaord as well as the guitar coz if u listen closely 
can hear two separate instruments playing in the solo,
it makes the solo sound more complicated but reeli its just the synth playing other notes.
